We photograph the space at the hour we intend to shoot. A dusk recce does not prove a noon still.

Atemercure works from Nationalestraat, a short walk from the diamond quarter and the south docks. Clients are cutters, cloth houses, chocolatiers and the agencies who sell them abroad. The studio is a pale room with a north window. Location days stay on the quays and in courtyards, with a small tungsten key when the street dies.
